[opensuse-factory] Missing perl dependencies on PPC on Factory
Hi, in the repository Publishing:TexLive there is the architecure openSUSE_Factory_PPC which is openSUSE:Factory:PowerPC/standard ... now I face the problem that on PPC (not PPC64) that serveral perl packages now require perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.22.0) or similar and therefore texlive does not build on PPC Now the problem is that serval tex binaries do not exist on PPC64 like luajit but on PPC that is that PPC64 user can not switch to PPC to solve this. I think you mean 'ppc', which AFAIK is not built anymore. The stale binaries still exist and cause trouble. I think its safe to remove 'ppc' from the arch list in the openSUSE_Factory_PowerPC repository in the affected projects. Hmm .... then there is no luajit binares anymore on ppc64. Werner -- "Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool." -- Edward Burr

From memory no one has ever got luajit building on ppc64. Enlightenment also doesn't work completely on that platform for the same reason. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adeliade Australia, UTC+9:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

Why? Just let it fail. Andreas.
I did that because upstream is not ready and to avoid to see this package in list of failed packages in Factory:PowerPC (1); list that still need work of investigation.
