If it ever enters a staging prj, that prj should contain each and every pkg which has libav*/libsw*/libpost* in BuildRequires. Not every pkg is ready yet, vlc for example fails to configue with the uncrippled variant.

But somehow in Dave's project, vlc is building fine with the ffmpeg 3.1 version. And by the look of his project, he seems to have created his own little staging prj for it.
