you get this if you goto https://mirrorbrain.org/
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to mirrorbrain.org. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol.
Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION
AFAIK, https is not supported on the download system or mirrors.
6 packages to upgrade. Overall download size: 2.0 MiB. Already cached: 0 B. After the operation, 4.0 KiB will be freed. Continue? [y/n/v/...? shows all options] (y): y Retrieving package libbluetooth3-5.55-3.3.1.x86_64 (1/6), 133.6 KiB (321.1 KiB unpacked) Retrieving: libbluetooth3-5.55-3.3.1.x86_64.rpm .................[error (6 B/s)] Timeout exceeded when accessing 'http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/15.3/sle/sle-sp3/x86_64/libbluetoot...'.
But it is not using https - where is the relationship to https://mirrorbrain.org/? :-? Have you written https in the entries? Change back to http.
How can you force zypper to look at a different mirror?
AFAIK there is no way, except editing the entries, and thus not using the redirector at all. But if you know that a mirror is failing, just report it as bad to admin@opensuse.org -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from oS Leap 15.1 x86_64 (Minas Tirith))

All my repo defs are http - if you go to mirrorbrain.org - the browser redirects you to https://mirrorbrain.org - trying http://mirrorbrain.com does the same
But why are you going there? AFAIK zypper doesn't do so directly. In fact, If I try "https://mirrorbrain.org" I get "Error: Secure Connection Failed" (I'm reporting this as I write, to admin)
Is there a tool to see the mirrors? I tried to change them to fastmirror.pp.ua but that failed to get past a zypper ref.
You just edit files in /etc/zypp/repos.d. If it fails, it is because you did not write the exact path, which can be different than on http://download.opensuse.org/, or some local problem at that particular mirror.
llrainey@VM1:/etc/zypp/repos.d> zypper lr
add "--details" to see the URLS. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from oS Leap 15.1 x86_64 (Minas Tirith))

Answer: Closing ticket, rejected, we have no way to fix this, it is not handled by openSUSE team. For you: you have no reason at all to use that web page. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from oS Leap 15.1 x86_64 (Minas Tirith))

I noticed that Mirrorbrain site is not accessible due to https issues - is that what I cannot get updates on many of my machines?
you get this if you goto https://mirrorbrain.org/
But why is it accessing that site ? it shouldn't, it appears to be abandoned.. I got http://fastmirror.pp.ua/opensuse/update/leap/15.3/sle/sle-sp3/x86_64/libblue... nothing from here,, are you sre this is correct ? the browser refused to load this resource,,,
