I've the same problem with yast, and have execute the same change version of yast2-xml...... but the result isn't chanched
I use gnome, not kde
You executed "ldconfig", to update the libraries cache after installing this package? Regards, Juan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Such automatically happens - or at least should happen - in %post. Manually running it is so not needed. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

In the case of yast2-xml ldconfig isn't called from %post Please consider to file a defect report and include a pointer to this thread in the list archive. Cheers, Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team + SUSE Labs SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany

In the case of yast2-xml ldconfig isn't called from %post As yast2-xml does not ship libraries in ldconfig search path, what would be the point of it?

Hi! /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/YaST2/plugin/libpy2ag_xml.so.2: undefined symbol: _Z16should_be_loggediSs This is not in the search path of ldconfig? /usr/lib64/YaST2/plugin/libpy2ag_xml.so.2 In my case, that I have executed ldconfig, after the update of the yast2-xml package, the problem was resolved, but in the case of the other user that not executed ldconfig, the problem continued... This is not in the search path of ldconfig?
No, this is the plugin directory of yast, ldconfig stops at /usr/lib64
/usr/lib64/YaST2/plugin/libpy2ag_xml.so.2
In my case, that I have executed ldconfig, after the update of the yast2-xml package, the problem was resolved, but in the case of the other user that not executed ldconfig, the problem continued...
This must be pure random IMO Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
