[opensuse-factory] A Zypper question
I don't know which features for Zypper you plan to develop, so I'd like to ask for one. Do you have any plans to include a feature which would install a set of local rpm files? Smart can handle situations like this: # smart install foo.rpm Yum also #yum localinstall foo.rpm I'm not sure what features you plan to implement, so I'm just asking :) Cheers! -- Igor Jagec

On the radar... A workaround exists in the meantime: create a temp dir, put the packag there, add the repo as PlainDir and install. I must be missing something in this discussion. I just use Konqueror file manager and go find the RPM in any directory. Then right click and then Open With i-> install software.

Word 'zypper' ;-)

Though there is more then on way around. For instance I put rpm files in directory, than run createrepo and add that to list of repositories. -- Regards, Rajko. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

This will start a script that will do exactly the workaround I've described above. Stano --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
