[opensuse-factory] issues during repair system of Beta1
Hello 1.I don't know but, why isn't activated swap partition by deafult? I'm trying repair system from install cd and dvd also and note was appeared: Active Swap partition /dev/sda6 The partition /dev/sda6 has the file system ID 130 and contains a valid swap area.Activating this swap partition increases the preformance of the repair tool.Activate the swap partition This note is in openSUSE 10.2 also.Or isn't it issue. 2.During checking of installed packages Missing packages the following the packages are not installed Missing packages to install kernel-smp.So i chose repair, but installation of missing package was not successful - failed.(this issue is only on KDE cd) Regards --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

IMO if you try to repair a broken system, avoiding any touch of that system (even using a swap) is a good idea. BTW, you can active the swaps via shell on console 2 if really needed.

I suggest to open a bug report for this issue. Stano --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
