[opensuse-factory] Gnome display
I can't resize the display of a Gnome guest in VirtualBox. I'm stuck with a small 800x600 (or 640x480) window. Other than changing the host settings, does someone know of a way to adjust this? You also need to install the "guest additions" for the higher res screens AFAIK. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

if you are using openSUSE live CD as guest, you don't need install "guest additions", xorg modules for high res (and other features) are in xorg-x11-driver-virtualbox-ose and this package is already on live CD by default, you only need to have proper xorg.conf, which you could handle by "sax2 -m 0=vboxvideo" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

You would not need a "proper" xorg.conf, if the vboxvideo would detect the current resolution. This is what Bug #525243 is about. Known since 3 weeks now.
