This looks like bug, please ensure you test the latest build (115.1 as we still heavily working on storage) and attach installation logs ( output of save_y2logs ). Hi Josef What's best way to verify the build# ? Hi Josef
What's best way to verify the build# ? This installation is from last night, I think it should be the latest.
It should be part of iso name. like http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.0/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.0-D... so in this iso it means it is 115.1 . according to times, yesterday night should be there already the latest one. Thanks. Aha - I don't use the ISO, I boot over PXE and install directly via http. I guess I can go by the ISO in the repo then - it says Build115.1. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (2.4°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

/etc/YaST2/build will contain the build number from which you installed the system initially - this is not updated if you upgrade or such. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I don't seem to have that file? Any reason why root isn't mounted by UUID ? Also, surely fs_freq and fs_pass should be '1' and '1' ?
When configuring the partions, you can press the button below the field where you enter the mount point. You get a popup to select a.0. the method to mount. I personally prefer mount by LABEL. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

So do I, but I always have to specifically do exactly that for each filesystem. cf. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1073920 -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. I wrote this a while ago but my rescue system crashed: RO filesystem. Let see if I remember it all. When yast says what partitions it wishes to create or change, click on change proposal defaults (I'm going from memory, so wording may be different). When done, go to expert partitioner or create proposal (I'm fuzzy on the names unless I can see it). I mean the window where you can see all the partitions. Again, at the bottom there is an option to change defaults for partitions. Change to label there. Then, abort, go back in YaST, then forward again, so that YaST has to read again all the disks and things. But interestingly, it remembers your defaults, and as it is creating a new proposal, it applies them. (I did this yesterday night, installing this 42.3 system). What I found is that the place to enter the partition setup with nothing selected automatically is hidden. I think it is create proposal, so that it asks what disks to use, and instead click at the bottom on expert partitioner. What I did not find was a way to read an existing fstab and use it. I used this in the past and was very useful. Does Leap 15.0 has it? Nor did I see an option to recreate an existing system, importing its partition layout and packages or at least yast patterns. Does Leap 15.0 has it? I will try to find out myself soon, but if somebody knows already... :-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Never saw this.

The only way I know off is to do an Update.

No I can't help you. I used an earlier Build to install the Beta, but after booting this system the root file system / was left mounted read-only. So it was unusable. With Build115, I tried to upgrade, but that also left the root file system / read- only. I used a no longer used ext4 partition to install the Beta on and left it ext4. -- fr.gr. Thanks Freek, I had not noticed that one. Still, by UUID has been the default for a while, I was just surprised to see it change, for one device. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (2.9°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
