[opensuse-factory] dolphin and fish (11.3 last zypper up)
Hello :-) I know Dolphins like eating fishes :-) but I like to use fish:// from dolphin (to update my photo gallery), but now with 11.3 recently updated it don't work It works right now with 11.2, but I never tryed it with 11.3 before. sftp don't works either (but may be I have to configure vsftp?). ssh and ftp work very well. is this a known problem, or simply I have to setup something I forgot? I googled a bit and this didn't help (konq don't work better) ftp is not that smart, for example, I had to encrease the thread number to allow dolphin to work, & I have to manually adjust permissions (not necessary with fish) - not to speak about security jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-support-the-Linux-Documentation-Project/3720... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-fan-page-of-Claire-Dodin/106485119372062?v... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

for such functionality you need ftps subsystem in sshd config: Subsystem sftp /usr/lib64/ssh/sftp-server -- Josef Reidinger YaST team maintainer of perl-Bootloader, YaST2-Repair, parts of webyast

well, thre is simpler way. sftp works from command line, so it's not a server problem, but my dolphin don't work better with sftp than fish :-( it works also with gftp (ssh2) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-support-the-Linux-Documentation-Project/3720... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-fan-page-of-Claire-Dodin/106485119372062?v... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

There's a debugging guide here http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/Debugging_IOSlaves/D... and I'm sure that Andreas will be glad of a bug report about it.
