Manu, I suspect a user error on your end, or something wrong with the servers you are checking against: On my machine:
zypper se -s snapper Loading repository data... Reading installed packages...

So maybe there are more packages than the above required for it to work.) I meant in the default installation.. but not a big requirement. Thanks a lot.

My personal opinion (no one asked but)... Should we actually be
promoting btrfs with all the controversy around the 'btrfsfsck' that
no has seen and give the visibility many give it, if a user runs into
filesystem problems, data will almost for sure lost, since the
procedures (considering the user has extensive knowledge on btrfs) are
somehow tricky to recover it (when it's possible) ?
I mean... Should we really be concerned with a YaST module for a
filesystem that is somehow suspicious?

And how does this differ from other filesystems that does have a fsck? Just by virtue of having a fsck tool, does not guarantee that it will be able to recover from problems happening in any way. In other words, this isn't a big deal at all, sorry. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

YaST installs snapper and yast2-snapper if your root filesystem
is on btrfs.
