[opensuse-factory] Packages are failing integrity check
When I try to install packages on openSUSE 11.0 right now, all my packages are failing integrity check. Downloading: gimp-2.4.5-37.i586.rpm [done (164.3 K/s)] Package gimp-2.4.5-37 fails integrity check. Do you want to retry? Abort, retry, ignore? From where do you update? download.opensuse.org? Did you try refreshing the metadata?

If it affects only some packages (respectively, packages from some mirrors), then bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395454 could hit you. Otherwise I can't see a good reason. If it affects all packages, could you please refresh metadata and if it still occurs provide logs? Thanks, Peter -- "WARNING: This bug is visible to non-employees. Please be respectful!" From where do you update? download.opensuse.org? Yeah, I'm just using download.opensuse.org
Did you try refreshing the metadata? Yeah, I did zypper refresh

It affects every package I've tried so far, i'll try more. So far I've tried boo, gecko-sharp2, and gimp
Otherwise I can't see a good reason.
If it affects all packages, could you please refresh metadata and if it still occurs provide logs?
What logs do you want? I've talked to 3 other people on IRC who are experiencing this.
Thanks, Peter

Okay, so that's a small number packages anyhow? I thought you might be installing a fresh system (fair enough). Hm I forgot the most important question: does it work when you hit retry (possibly more than once)?
Otherwise I can't see a good reason.

some kind of zypper.log or yast package log. Could you actually open a bug about this on bugzilla.novell.com with the info? That would be even better.
I've talked to 3 other people on IRC who are experiencing this.
Where on irc? Maybe I could join, Thanks, Peter -- "WARNING: This bug is visible to non-employees. Please be respectful!" SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development

I figured out the issue, something in the yast metadata is screwed up, I switched it the repo to include /suse/ (rpm metadata) and it worked fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
