[opensuse-factory] Status lxde?
Hi, I would like to drop lxde from DVD (not from online repos) by the end of this week unless someone steps up and says she's the maintainer. Because the last time I checked it was terribly outdated and I don't want that as main desktop choice on DVD. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It seems that you have to take it out of DVD anyway. It is too late to test it, and, as obviously no one complained on outdated version before, there will be no testing if new version is included. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi, I use LXDE quite a lot as it is nice lightweight environment. What is needed to be done? I can update versions of packages and fix blockers bugs. What is deadline? I installed this month 12.3 with lxde in a small and old laptop, it works just fine. I was not aware that it is in danger of disapearing. Not having it on the DVD would be a problem for installation. It is an interesting desktop because it is probably the smallest available. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. I also check state of LXDE in opensuse and it is in quite good shape, only few packages are outdated. There is not much activity in LXDE related to stable release, because they now works on merge of razor-qt and LXDE, so there is no stable release yet. I think that two or three package update is OK to be on the latest stable release. I plan to check bugzilla what is its state. Hi, guys, I submit latest lxsession and menu-cache to x11:lxde. There's still one packge broken (lxappearance-obconf) and one package missing (in upstream it's called LXNM but last change was in 2008 and I don't think we need it) so now LXDE as a DE is updated. Define: updated. I mean the lxde stable project instead of lxde-qt which is still in preview state and only exist in git. Tomorrow I'll upate libfm and PacmanFM. later I'll check openbox and other dependencies. Fixed obconf ( fixed means, that it compiles for me and I update it to stable release ) send as sr 197521. Josef -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Status update: I sent another 6 SRs to X11:LXDE. I still has a slim here. The packages not get updated in the whole repository are: * deadbeef and one of its MIRS plugin * xmms2 Note: they're "clean" versions, as people always use the full versions at Packman, I think the priority for these packages can be lower. Any voluteers wanna join us? still 2 for sale. Marguerite -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
