[opensuse-factory] grep
Hi, I ran into a strange problem on openSUSE Tumbleweed while trying to compile syslog-ng: grep ate all CPU and RAM for breakfast while trying to compile syslog-ng on i586: https://github.com/balabit/syslog-ng/issues/2861 Anybody else ran into a similar trouble? Being short on time I only want to debug it if the problem is specific to syslog-ng... OK. No wonder, that nobody reacted. It is not a grep bug, but seems to be an i586 specific bison bug. It is generating about 1.4GB of spaces instead of just three lines, and grep is working hard on this empty data :) We are still debugging with a colleague. Well, it's not i586 specific. Bison bug reported upstream: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-bison/2019-08/msg00002.html Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
