[opensuse-factory] "does not contain desired medium" with tumbleweed update
Hi, I'm trying to "dup" a Tumbleweed system to the latest and greatest. But always get now (even after refreshing repositories) Retrieving package branding-openSUSE-12.2-11.6.15.noarch (1/496), 10.0 KiB ( 2.0 KiB unpacked) Media source 'http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/openSUSE-current/repo/oss/' does not contain the desired medium similar for other packages. I presume it still looks for 12.2, but 12.3 is already there? Is there a workaround? Thanks, -Andi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It should be almost 4 thousand packages to update, not 500, this doesn't seem like the correct update.

Odd, what repos do you have enabled? This worked for me just fine on a number of different systems. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

May it be dependent on what download.opensuse.org mirror is used? I had problems with that before. -Andi -- ak@linux.intel.com -- Speaking for myself only. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

And yes the update seems to be wrong, it actually tries to downgrade:

The rest is to be downgraded? Yes, that's a bad mirror without the symlink being propagated properly to it, you should only have a handful of packages to downgrade (kernel, git, vim, libreoffice, and maybe a few other minor ones.) greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

If it tries to fetch 12.2 branding from openSUSE-current something is busted. Do you use a proxy? Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
