[opensuse-factory] change app menu style
Some time back I changed the kicker menu/application menu to old style and cannot remember how/where and cannot find information on how to change it back to the "new" style. How do I adjust kmenu's style? tks, -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

tks, but that only allows changing the "old" menu. I would like to return to the "new" kmenu style for testing. tks, -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Maybe you have corruption? Try another zypper up first? I just booted my Factory that has KDE4 removed and a KDE3 that works like my 11.0 server, both of which running the traditional menu style have an option to "switch to SUSE menu style", which IIRC on straight KDE 3 & 4 is called "Kickoff" menu style. -- No Jesus - No peace , Know Jesus - Know Peace Team OS/2 ** Reg. In my 4.3rc2 (on 11.1 though) I have the context menu options to switch styles, both ways. But, the menus are just widgets they're not "hardcoded" in the panel anymore, you should be able switch manually by simply: Right click desktop -> add widgets -> drag "Application Launcher" to the panel. And remove the traditional menu widget if desired. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I don't see that on 11.2m3

but this is present and does the job.
And remove the traditional menu widget if desired.
