you have a problem somewhere contributing to this situation. I just updated 4 boxes w/o your problem. perhaps a repo which has not yet been updated or your update site has not finished obtaining all the packages. first thing to try is cancel the present and do a refresh and try again. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Greetings, Björn weechat-perl (from the official repo) needs perl 5.24.0 as well. Since I don't really need it, I uninstalled it for the moment but I imagine some users do need it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I wait for an advice, because I will not uninstall or break all these packages. I found a way to reduce the number of conflicts. In first run of "zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change" I had 20 or more conflicts and I always choose the suggestion to keep obsolete packages. In seconds run I had only 5 conflicts. One conflict came from a self-compiled package. The other conflicts (razor-agents, alien and 2 more) need a re-compilation.
Is there any open bug report for this issue? Greetings, Björn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This one is due to the fact that libguestfs fails to build; so the perl update actually triggered a rebuild - but as it then failed, no new binaries could be published. Cheers, Dominique

I only ran into 1 problem (rather than the 10 that you listed. I've trimmed the quote of your message to show just that one. I cancelled out of the update yesterday. But that one package comes from packman. So I decided to try again this evening, in the hope that a packman update had corrected the issue. And it had. There were no problems in updating. Thus far, the updated system seems to be running well. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

keep obsolete perl-5.24.0-3.6.x86_64 Solution 2: deinstallation of perl-Sereal-Encoder-3.015-2.9.x86_64 Solution 3: break perl-Sereal-Encoder-3.015-2.9.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies
I had a similar list, in my case it came from an external (self-compiled) package for the alien package converter. perl-Sereal-Encoder is from packman. Of course there are no updated packages yet for the just-released snapshot :( So either wait until packman is up-to-date, too, or go for option 3 in the meantime. Or find why you have/need perl-Sereal-Encoder, and maybe remove it. Or get the srpm of the offending package and rpmbuild it yourself, until a proper update arrives... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
