It works for me... but that could be related to using vim instead of your pager? I'm using zsh with man set to: /usr/bin/man $* | col -bp | iconv -c | view -c 'set ft=man nomod nolist' but running /usr/bin/man bash gives the correct pages (with dashes) using less.
