[opensuse-factory] RC1 Biarch DVD contains no valid repo for net-install
Hi, I downloaded the Biarch DVD from http://openqa.opensuse.org/opensuse/www/htdocs/opensuse/factory-testing/iso/... Then I copied the contents to a directory on our NFS server. I also copied the kernel and initrd to the tftp server and created a new entry in pxelinux.cfg. (This are all the same steps I do since SuSE 8.1 and it always worked.) Then I PXE-boot and everything works fine until it comes to the point, where linuxrc wants to check the repository. The installation stops with a red box on blue background saying: Could not find the openSUSE repository. Activating manual setup program. The last lines of tty3: url mount: trying nfs://xx.xx.xx.xx/srv/suse/i386/12.2-RC1/repo/box?device=eth0 (VMWare PRO/1000 MT Single Port Adapter) interface setup: eth0 sending DHCP request to eth0... ok. eth0 activated hostip: xx.xx.xx.xx gateway: xx.xx.xx.254 nameserver 0: xx.xx.xx.3 nameserver 1: xx.xx.xx.1 nfs: /srv/suse/i386/12.2-RC1/repo/box -> /var/adm/mount (0) loading file:/var/adm/mount/content -> /content sha1 1aec7b200cfbbc8e17287dad7a69b938... sha256 8238bd79d581612969c5ee7767280126... digest not checked loading file:/var/adm/mount/content.asc -> /content.asc sha1 95869fddc8b453839edad12fcf6287bf... sha256 b9d47c24c992d0913550d0d0e7436fa1... digest not checked nfs://xx.xx.xx.xx/srv/suse/i386/12.2-RC1/repo/box/content: signature ok instsys missing: boot/x86_64/root disk: mount ok but test failed url mount: nfs://xx.xx.xx.xx/srv/suse/i386/12.2-RC1/repo/box?device=eth0 failed repository: not found no openSUSE repository found Automatic setup not possible. Is the DVD contents not meant to be a repo for network installation? But: Installation from DVD works. Are there logs for linuxrc except tty3 and tty4? Can I increase verbosity? Is there a tool to do the same check as linuxrc does? -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Fakultaet fuer Physik und Astronomie Universitaet Wuerzburg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
The problem was produced by broken .asc signature files. I used 7z (package p7zip from openSUSE 12.1) to extract the files from the .iso I'll file a bug against p7zip from 12.1. Sorry for all the trouble ... -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Fakultaet fuer Physik und Astronomie Universitaet Wuerzburg vetter@physik.uni-wuerzburg.de wrote on 13.07.2012 14:19:17:
