[opensuse-factory] packagekitd keeps locking system management
It seems that pretty much every time I try and run zypper I get a message like the following: System management is locked by the application with pid 5750 (/usr/sbin/packagekitd). Close this application before trying again. If I try it a few times the message goes away and zypper works. Now I understand there is an applet that checks to see if there updates at first boot but this message happens no matter how long I've been logged in and I believe has even reoccurred after running zypper previously. It seems like packagekitd keeps starting and stopping? Then please, open a bug report, and attach /var/log/pk_backend_zypp and zypper.log. Stano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Ok will do. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't expected behavior. Of course I tried to replicate it just now for the bug report and it worked just fine... :\ If it happens again.... -- John Lange www.johnlange.ca On Tue, 2008-12-02 at 19:33 +0100, Stanislav Visnovsky wrote:
