Larry, Add the 'Debug' repository, then install the NetworkManager's debuginfo and debugsource package, you'll get more information.

Fortunately, starting NetworkManager again from a console works. It is only the initial start that crashes. That obviously was already done. Launch gdb with the network-manager binary and you'll get a list of zypper commands to invoke for missing debug info. Richard.

What packages are needed to get the full trace of this problem so that I can write a complete Bugzilla entry? Fortunately, starting NetworkManager again from a console works. It is only the initial start that crashes.
