[opensuse-factory] Another thing needs to be fixed.
In 11.1 Beta4 there's a lingering problem from prior releases that won't allow you to disable a touchpad. Now, some like them...I DON'T! In 11.0, you could edit the xorg.conf file so you could turn it off in the command line or add to your .profile script. Now, that isn't possible, or I haven't figured out exactly what needs to be put in there. What SHOULD happen is the ability to turn it off in Yast and have it work. You can make that choice, but it won't turn the sucker off! Just for curiosity: What seems to be the problem? I have openSUSE 11.0 on an Eee PC 900 and I'm using the touchpad when a mouse is not available. I hate touchpads, so I plug in a USB mouse whenever possible. The patch still works if I touch it (I do sometimes) but most of the time I don't. As I explained, I use a wireless mouse. I have large hands and type at a good speed. I can help but "hit" the pad now and then, the cursor "takes off," and I'm typing where I don't want to be. This Dell doesn't have a manual switch to turn of the pad! OK :) So I have another reason not to be jealous to people with high typing skills. I'm typing real slow, I never tried to learn it properly. The advantage is that I have to proof read everything. Many times I've erased my text (or kept from posting it) even though there have been no typos in it. Fortunately I did and if I hadn't, I'd not been able to do some work throughout the years I've made good money at. ;)
