Whois not up to date anymore
The eu is now also a TLD. However whois does not recognise it: houghi@penne : mx -n houghi.eu Information on houghi.eu with ns14.zoneedit.com. as primary nameserver: Primary and secondary nameservers : ns14.zoneedit.com. ns2.zoneedit.com. houghi@penne : whois houghi.eu No whois server is known for this kind of object. Is this a whois problem, or has SUSE not yet updated or is there simply no whois server? houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. Try it like this: # whois -h whois.eu moenkeberg.eu Cheers -e -- Eberhard Moenkeberg (emoenke@gwdg.de, em@kki.org)

I looked a bit further and the easiest solution is to do the following: houghi@penne : diff tld_serv_list.old tld_serv_list.new 108a109
.eu whois.eu
Then a new `make` and it works. Bug 165904 Submitted Even if it is not for 10.0 as it might nog look like a security update, it should be there for 10.1 (although I have not tested it there, so it coul be already available) reson for the bugreport: if in doubt, file a bugreport. :-) houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. A 32 bit version I compiled can be downloaded from http://houghi.org/script/whois Just replace the whois with this one (chmod 755 it) and .eu works as well. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit.
