Same here. Also, this error message really, really should include the name of the server it is fetching from (not the canonical URL, the actual server). In pedantic mode likely to be considered a feature, but practically really key for openSUSE and hopefully trivial, so I wonder whether we can get this with the next Beta (past Beta 4)? This is https://features.opensuse.org/?rm=feature_show&id=305320 and, yes, it would be extremely valuable for openSUSE. If you both didn't access some mirror directly, you pulled the package from here: http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/guten... I assume this because that was the only European mirror listed in the database that had the file: 45 EU at 100 ok ok gd.tuwien.ac.at http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/guten... 151 eu rs 100 disabled dead mirror.etf.bg.ac.yu http://mirror.etf.bg.ac.yu/distributions/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586... 170 af za 15 disabled dead leg.uct.ac.za http://ftp.leg.uct.ac.za/pub/linux/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/guten... 189 sa br 10 ok ok pop.com.br http://opensuse.pop.com.br/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/gutenprint-5.0.2-1.7.i... (apart from a Brazilian mirror which is not considered for non-Brazilian clients.) The file verifies fine for me, and is identical to the origin site's copy, but that doesn't mean that it arrives at the destination correctly each time it is downloaded, or that it couldn't have been broken before. (The mirror scanning wasn't done frequently enough; I changed it to three hourly now for Factory.) % rpm -Kpv http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/guten... http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/opensuse/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/guten...: Header V3 DSA signature: OK, key ID 56b4177a Header SHA1 digest: OK (911b19c8b7da6d56de6cc14fa31cf6804710b76a) MD5 digest: OK (f55552cafef1d0cb17180e81062a10a2) V3 DSA signature: OK, key ID 56b4177a % rpm -Kpv http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/gutenprint-5.0.2-1.7... http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/gutenprint-5.0.2-1.7...: Header V3 DSA signature: OK, key ID 56b4177a Header SHA1 digest: OK (911b19c8b7da6d56de6cc14fa31cf6804710b76a) MD5 digest: OK (f55552cafef1d0cb17180e81062a10a2) V3 DSA signature: OK, key ID 56b4177a I scanned the /factory tree on the mirrors and there are now more mirrors listed, http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/gutenprint-5.0.2-1.7... so it would be interesting if the issue prevails, especially if the experiment is performed from Austria, because then the mirror would be used again. Anyhow, at the moment, I wouldn't see a cause for the issue, other than occasional broken replies from the Vienna mirror. Or possibly a mismatch between metadata and the file.
