[opensuse-factory] gcc problem linking again
this showed up during a compile of some CAD software. I have seen this linking problem before. I also have a zypper download of openSuSE's fltk/fltk-devel and factory gcc. This is 12.1 upgraded. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Skype:n5xwbg BMWMOA #:4146 Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316
It is a problem in the fltk library, you can open a bug report.
Is it related to the new "--no-copy-dt-needed-entries"? Wasn't the
behaviour I understood, but I should reread it...
Meanwhile adding a probably unneeded "-lXft -lfontconfig" and whatever
else library provides the missing symbols *after* the "-lfltk" should
"fix" the problem for you.

That change is afaik not into factory yet. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Huh ? that submit request is against the devel project, not against factory.. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Ups! True... The problem seems to be new just because fltk has been updated to the 1.3.0 release and the dependencies weren't there in the previous version. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Well, the application is missing linkage against -lfontconfig -lXft, probably the linking order is messed up. Cheers. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
