Much discussed? Where? I just searched through opensuse-factory, and didn't get a single hit on "aria2" Is this a bug that causes checksumming errors on packages as well? try:
export ZYPP_ARIA2C=0 zypper ref
Maybe the problem "rpm -q aria2" equals aria2-1.5.1-1.1 "zypper ref" equals [done]. Yast2 still hangs at 50% stating "widehat.opensuse.org" enclosed is the Abstract error from Yast2. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316

Just type in root user console: export ZYPP_ARIA2C=0 zypper ref Above is not question is it aria2c installed , it is variable that tells zypper (libzypp) to use curl instead of aria2c. Further you can start YaST from the same console with: yast2& and have all downloads fine. If you start it from Menu then said variable doesn't apply. YaST will still use aria2c and fail. The said export ZYPP_ARIA2C=0 is valid only in console that is used to run that command, not any other, nor GUI. -- Regards, Rajko http://news.opensuse.org/category/people-of-opensuse/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Hey openSuSE Group; You guest the answer correctly. I downloaded and replaced openSuSE's version of aria2-1.5.1 with aria2-1.5.2 and installed it. Tried "zypper update" and the error is gone. Beside zypper confirmed there was a upgrade to yast2 printer. Thanks again!!!! -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
