[Chromium] Maintainance request
Hi all, Just wanted to give you an update with regards to the maintainership of the Chromium Web Browser. It has slowly become more and more tricky to continue to be up to date with upstream. I thank Andreas Stieger so much for helping me as much as possible. I was handed control from SUSE back in November 2020 so that's been almost 3.5 years of me trying to do my best while managing other openSUSE packages and my personal life at the same time. This has become increasingly trickier with me being at University. Personally, I don't blame SUSE at all even though I'm entirely responsible for a package needed by openQA and used by many people. I strongly feel this is due to lack of understanding by "Chromium Project" aka Google with how distribution packagers change the setup, mainly because the default is Chrome with all dependencies bundled making the resulting binary huge and they annoying have decided recently to almost adopt C++ new standards before they even work correctly in the standard compilers and subsequently fixes are landing after the stable release comes out. More detail about I'll publish later in the update bug. If anyone wants to help, that'd be much appreciated, I'll warn you it may be pretty tricky (although I'm not exactly a true C++ expert myself) The working copy is available at network:chromium/chromium-beta so branch that like usual and submit if you get it working. If you want to subsequently become a maintainer, either send a request or an email to myself. Again check the update bug later in the day and I'll give more details on currently how it builds. I know Lubos is in contact with some SUSE members to do this already but this may be unsuccessful. We likely may need more than one person anyways. Many thanks, Callum Farmer gmbr3@opensuse.org [The update bug](https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1222958)
