Hi, I installed 4 machines with RC1 and none of them gets through the SUSE Register part of installation. I always get an error. It does not matter if i586 or x86_64 machines. Is somebody having the same problem? All 4 machines are installed from NFS, get their network config for the first part of installation from DHCP and are then set to static IP (same IP as from DHCP) after the first reboot and before the registration. If nobody has this problem I'll file a bug. -- Andreas Vetter

I had it working the first time. The second time it was not working anymore. I guess they are working on the servers that recieve the data and that they are offline, or in overload. That poses an interesting question, what happens if the servers are unreachable (for whatever reason)? For now just do not register and file a bugreport (unless there already is one) houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. For me do'nt work.
I got the message "No products to register"

"an error" isn't very helpful - the full error message would have been better ;-)

This bug has been fixed for beta9, then I reopened it for beta9 (fixed in RC1) and now it's reopened for RC1 again ;-) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=162107 Please attach your y2logs there - it seems there were/are different reasons why it failed and the developers should catch them all ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Wenn man bedenkt, dass die Leute vor 150 Jahren ihre E-Mails noch bei Kerzenlicht geschrieben haben...
