Dear Kyrill, Found at least a work around. By using "yast --ncurses" you wil have at least a functioning Yast in a konsole. For a nice GUI Yast I think we have to wait for somebody to work on a repair. No idea where to make a bug report. I see, we need to install libyui-qt4/libyui-gtk4 and libyui-qt-pkg4/libyui-gtk-pkg4. Then it works. Every of them obsoletes yast2-qt/gtk, etc. But I found, the update wasn't clear for me. Thanks Kyrill, After installing the libyui-gtk-pkg4 package I got a well functioning Yast again. Zypper did a upgrade of 3 packages installed 77 new and removed 5. Zypper ended its install with the sentence : " Your bundle is updated! Use `bundle show [gemname]` to see where a bundled gem is installed." This was something I never saw before. Assume that in one of our updates this update was not included. -- Linux User 183145 using KDE4 on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 12.3 Milestone 0 (i586) Kernel: 3.5.0-1-desktop KDE Development Platform: 4.8.5 (4.8.5)) 10:22am up 9:17, 4 users, load average: 1.01, 0.55, 0.61 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks, Andreas In my case the same bug is in 12.2, also after the last massive update. 'll file a bug report.
I must say this last update has given some drawbacks, this bug being one of them. Bug 771518 - Thunderbird crashes on startup with libc error - is still there, and has no comments or progress except for the assignment. The same bug (error 4 in libc-2.15.so) now also hits Firefox so I'll file a bug report there too. The Gimp is not starting, I'll have to investigate about that, but that's also new after this last update... regards, Jogchum -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks, Andreas Hmm - I filed the bug against 12.2RC2, but I'm left somewhat puzzled after restarting this OS again. Grub tells me it will start 12.3 Milestone 0, but I'm pretty sure I never installed that. In /etc

Verify your repos again. You may have factory repos installed, which means that you'd get 12.3. The release number is still 12.2 because they have not changed that yet or you haven't updated that particular package. You may have to set up 12.2 repos instead and do a dup. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. "zypper lr --details" in a big terminal, then check the urls visually. People now would have: ..... yast2 | http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.2/repo/oss/ and I'm guessing you have: .... | yast2 | http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/
