[opensuse-factory] Upgrade 42.1 -> 42.3, Nautilus broken config
Hi, I just upgraded a Gnome system from Leap 42.1 to 42.3, and Nautilus would no longer open. From the command line it produced the following error: -------- Initializing nautilus-dropbox 2.10.0 ** ERROR:nautilus-canvas-container.c:6033:finish_adding_new_icons: assertion failed: (!container->details->auto_layout) Abortado ('core' generado) -------- I had to delete ~/.local/share/nautilus to fix the error. Is it possible to add something to the RPM install script to remove ~/.local/share/nautilus if this upgrade situation occurs? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

No, RPM touching user directories is a strict no-go (let alone that they could be encrypted or remote, where rpm would not even have access) In any case: please file a bug - nautilus should be able to cope with this and not crash (the bug would have been present in 42.2 already, as the nautilus version did not change - a bit surprising that this never popped up) Cheers, Dominique
