Could be a mirror issue, but my TW update is hanging on checking for conflicts. Culprit seems to be that mentioned package is not available (yet). Anyone else seeing this ? -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a. I look at http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/ and it's simply not there, at least, not yet. 3 kernels made it there in 7 days though. 4.6.3-1.2 is there for 686 and 586, but only 4.6.3-1.1 for x86_64. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." I look at http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/suse/x86_6 4/ and it's simply not there, at least, not yet. 3 kernels made it there in 7 days though. 4.6.3-1.2 is there for 686 and 586, but only 4.6.3-1.1 for x86_64.
The fact that 4.6.3-1.2 is not there must not really be an issue - it's also not registered in the metadata as being present. Gertjan's problem must be slightly different - as 'checking for conflicts' happens after everything has been downloaded and cached already. @Gertjan - Can you describe the issue without interpretation of what you thing the issue is? This may be caused by the sheer number of files in the kernel-source package. I see this hanging as well when I get an update of this package (I use a kernel repo on Leap 42.1 due to my Skylake MB). Regards, Werner --

Must have been. Made a coffee, went outside for a smoke and on my return the dup had completed. @Dominique: put 'impatient' on the list as well :D. -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a. That's likely kernel-source bringing gazillion of files that zypp is trying to check won't be causing any file conflict. The check is not new - but maybe there was a performance regression somewhere in this check. Possibly rising a bug against zypp might give clarity here. Cheers, Dominique

No problem with the new kernel at my side. As you can see the i586 package is there, the x86_64 package isn't.
The x86_64 build timed out and was discarded by OBS - but doing a simple zypper dup should never pick the i586 kernel for you anyway... so the absence of 4.6.3-1.2 on x86_64 is no problem for the system - only for users looking at details ;) (the next snapshot, 0710) should hopefully sync it up again though) Cheers, Dominique
