The only workaround I can find for now is to start LibreOffice with the following environment variable (or add it /etc/environment): SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice All the other options (SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 | SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk | SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3) all cause the high CPU usage. That should remove the requirement of -32bit packages (but also the 32bit GCC runtime then). If you edit the /etc/environment file you will need to add: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen (Without "libreoffice".) Then you will need to log out and log back in again. FYI, the last snapshot of 42.3 beta makes all extension menus unreadable because the selection fields are invisible. You may confirm by running the latest FF and noscript extension and try to alters settings. (Running Nvidia graphic card).
