Ok, call me stupid (water off a duck's back), but under SuSE (and LSB) how does the start-up process work? More specfically, not work... Given a working script in /etc/init.d, and a Sxx link in one of the rcx.d directories, why does a service not start? Cheers Chris

Just one of the rcx.d directories? Which one? Also, which runlevel are you actually using (probably 3 or 5)? Just checking the easy things first... Michael
