Hello I have managed to get my 486 running with a KDE. I sympathise with John McCabe; where do you find these thousands of applications AND do they have installation programs? I'm actually quite fond of setup.exe and install.exe! Can I just mount the CD in KDE and double click on an application or, indeed, a file to run/open it? Regards Peter Rutherford, Worthing

Are you so fond of not having the faintest idea what files they are installing, changing and overwriting, and not knowing how or whether you can safely uninstall? It's best to use yast for installing.

KDE is a single-click interface ... Good luck. Roger -- Roger Whittaker SuSE Linux Ltd The Kinetic Centre Theobald Street Borehamwood Herts WD6 4PJ ---------------------- 020 8387 1482 ---------------------- roger@suse-linux.co.uk ----------------------
