Well: no-one has posted, so I suppose that means you're all sitting with your feet up in front of the fire reading the SuSE manual. Or something. Have a lot of fun until you get back to the chalk-face. :) Roger -- Roger Whittaker SuSE Linux Ltd The Kinetic Centre Theobald Street Borehamwood Herts WD6 4PJ ---------------------- 020 8387 1482 ---------------------- roger@suse-linux.co.uk ----------------------

No, no, it means we are working twice as hard doing all the things we can't do while the sprogs are here like cabling the whole building. J McCabe,IT Director | Cthulhu awakens in 24 hours. East Norfolk College | Have a nice day.
I know: at last one other person is up under the roof threading cables ... On Wed, 23 Feb 2000, John McCabe wrote:

Now hang on a minute.... I resent that.... especially from someone who should know better... If prospective teachers really knew what the job would involve there would not be a shortfall of teachers ... there would be NO teachers. As you see - I'm here....catching up on all those jobs that never did get finised. Marking projects...Writing knew material for the syallabus changes....installing some extra network points (for other staff...), fixing windows on several machines... Just when do you (and others) think that these jobs gets done? -- Alan Davies Head of Computing Birkenhead School
The little symbol `:)' was supposed to indicate that yes, I really do know better ... a little bit of irony or whatever was intended. Sorry if I've upset anyone - it's difficult to indicate tone of voice in e-mail, but as a former deputy head, I know exactly what it's like, believe me ... I've often spent most of the half term week re-timetabling among other things. On Thu, 24 Feb 2000, Alan Davies wrote:
