: Hi all,
Is the evaluation version limited in some way?
I stopped using SuSE as I was buying every new version... (from 6.4 to 9). I want the latest stuff, so looked elsewhere for a distro. I should perhaps just install it via ftp, but iso's are easier to give to friends, install at your folks house etc etc...
What's the score with the evaluation isos?
I think the evaluation is a live cd in that it runs from the CD and doesn't install.
There's download and "install" evaluation versions on the SuSE site. What's the score with them?
From my point of view 9.3 is far better than 9.2 in terms of wireless support, I could never get 9.2 to work with WPA on my LAN but 9.3 works straight out the box.
This is exactly what I need. I'm hoping for an easy ride with my 3com 11g card... (?) -- Matt ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Messenger - NEW crystal clear PC to PC calling worldwide with voicemail http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com

I suspect (rather dismally) that this is a desperate attempt for SuSE/Novel (or whatever they're calling themselves thesedays) to get people to try their product, and eventually buy it. I'd be surprised if it offered much in the way that Knoppix or Ubuntu's live CDs do. Still might be interesting to try. I might even do so. :) -- Thomas Adam ___________________________________________________________ To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Yahoo!
