Website and childrens pictures
Hi Could someone please advise me on the following, I am thinking of designing some pages for Paignton Rugby Club, they have their Colts, and adult side pictures on the net, I would like to add some of the junior and Mini players, along with results, I am aware there are guidelines for this, however I am not sure if they apply just to schools. Thank you for any help Paul Sutton The website is www.paigntonrugby.co.uk Come to the Open Source Software Day! Exeter Uni, Saturay the 27th of April 2002 http://dclug.org.uk/ossday/
As a rule it's best not to name individual childrens pictures. The risk involved is probably infitesimally small, but schools and parents are particularly sensitive to identifiable photos of their kids on web sites though don't seem to mind at all if it's in a local newspaper. What I suggest you do is ask the parents by sending them a consent form explaining exactly how identifiable their kids will be. This should cover all bases. David Bowles
