We at SuSE are interested in hearing from schools who are using SuSE (and happy with it ...) who would be happy to be used as a possible case study in publicity, magazine articles or whatever. Anyone who's got students using Linux on the desktop would be particularly nice for an article, but server use will do too. Let me know off the list if you're willing to be named ... Naturally this would be good publicity for your school too. -- Roger Whittaker SuSE Linux Ltd The Kinetic Centre Theobald Street Borehamwood Herts WD6 4PJ ---------------------- 020 8387 1482 ---------------------- roger@suse-linux.co.uk ----------------------

How many servers do you want? The problem with desktops in IMHO is that the likes of KDE copy the shortcommings of Windows a little too well. Whereas I really want a desktop and GUI apps which follow the more traditional global config file (possibly with the ability for a per user config to override.) As well as minimal end user configuration. Ideally none, restricted to cosmetic changes such as desktop colours, etc. If you like I could go into more details as to how I'd want a desktop to work. -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763

FVWM is simply a window manager. It dosn't, by itself provide the kind of web browser, email program, etc. which I would be looking for. -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763
