RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] OpenOffice.org + MySQL
Had the CD for ages... Now on every computer in the site. Having said that, we're persuading primaries and other secondaries down the OOo root, just because it's as easy as "download it from here". Having said that, any answers beyond http://linuxworld.com.au/article.php3?aid=341&tid=1 for using the package for teaching DBs would be extremely useful. Are you talking about that registration, or the registration of interest which happened a long time ago and seems to have been a complete waste of time? Has anyone actually managed to get hold of the CDs? -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Miller [mailto:mail@brucemiller.co.uk] Sent: 11 November 2002 21:52 To: Suse-Linux-Uk-Schools Subject: [suse-linux-uk-schools] OpenOffice.org + MySQL I am still waiting for Sun to clarify the deal on Student licences before buying into Star Office Six. This is Open Office but with the database, I hear, although I have yet to see it. We also registered for the £25 school site licence scheme and are still awaiting reply for this too. Educational wheels turn very slowly. I expect other people are in the same boat. But maybe not? Download it from where? What are the conditions of downloading it, or obtaining the CD from somewhere. Matt
