Good day! Shouldn't openSUSE:Factory:Contrib/libtinyxml renamed to libtinyxml0 (and all it subpackages)? Today It calls libtinyxml and produces libtinyxml0 but the devel and debug packages are libtinyxml-*. I sent libtommath and libtomcrypt named as libtommath0 and libtomcrypt0 some weeks ago, and maybe I should change the name... Thanks for clarifying. -- [ ]'s Aledr - Alexandre "OpenSource Solutions for SmallBusiness Problems" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org

See http://en.opensuse.org/Packaging/Shared_Libraries In a nutshell: - package containing the library should be named libfooX where X is version in SONAME - devel package should _NOT_ contain X, it should be name libfoo-devel - main package could be name libfoo, so you don't have to rename it everytime you change the X. but if you are OK with renaming then ... -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o Package Maintainer Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9, CR prusnak[at]suse.cz http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org

Yes, I forgot to apply this rule. I have changed it for libtommath0 and libtomcrypt0. Aledr, there are e. g. %package -n libtommath-devel instead of %package devel from now. Similar for %description and %files section. Pavol, and what about -examples? I think libtommath0-examples is right, isn't it? I think the same rule should apply like for -devel files, so I would go for libtommath-examples (without 0). You can't have two different -devel packages installed so either you build against new or against old version of include files. Thus it seems to me it makes no sense to have versioned examples. -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o Package Maintainer Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9, CR prusnak[at]suse.cz http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org
