[opensuse-conference] Website: Missing speaker info in the schedule
Hi, While testing the Android app, Lukaš pointed out that some speakers don't have any attached info, but I now see that this is a problem on the website as well. And this is probably the source of the missing information in the app. It would be nice to have information about all the speakers. It's especially useful to know what qualifies them to give the talk or what their general interests are connected to the presentation. -Ionuț -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, I used the https://github.com/miska/openSUSE-Conference-schedule data for that. -- Matt Barringer, Software Engineer SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, DE GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg)

Yes, it would be nice, unfortunately although we repeatedly asked, not
every speaker provided the info.

Thanks Ionut for writing the e-mail. Additionally, I've collected the information which presenters do not have any info: * Mr. WIEDEMANN, Bernhard * Mr. KÄMPF, Klaus * EICH, Egbert * MEEKS, Michael * Mr. SEYFRIED, Stefan * Elvir Kuric * Thomas Renninger * Michal Zima * Tomáš Vondra * Michal Hlavatý * Marek Žehra * KULOW, Stephan * Mr. TAN, James * Mr. BALTASAR, Ortega * Mr. RAHN, Torsten * Mr. POORTVLIET, Jos (!!!) * Mr. BARAJAS, Miguel * Vojtěch Trefný * REISINGER, Stefan * Pavel Šimerda * KIRCH, Olaf * TOMASCHEWSKI, Marius * Tadeáš Pařík * Petr Krčmář * Tomáš Matějíček * Mr. VALEEV, Dinar * Jozef Mlich * Mr. MÜLLER, Dirk * Mr. WAFAA, Andrew * MAJDA, David * Mr. RAMA SAMY * Arul Selvan * Jan Hrach * Mr. BOLTZ, Christian * Mr. WAFAA, Andrew * Prof. DOUPNIK, Joe * Coly Li * Mr. KULOW, Stephan * Mr. MEISSNER, Marcus * LOVASKO, Daniel * DISSELDORP, David * SCHNELL, Arvin * Dr. REINECKE, Hannes * Mr. KOUDARAS, Kostas * Mr. HRUSECKY, Michal (!!!) * Thorsten Behrens * Dr. BOTKA, Vladimir * Ismail Doenmez (!!!) * Harry Hsiung * Mr. VYSKOčIL, Michal Many (to most) of the presenters are actually SUSE employees. Some are already subscribed to this list. If we don't get the info soon, can we just write something like: "Project Manager at SUSE"? At least this. I could do that but I don't know where the data is and how to change it. Please advice. Here are a few that I have from the Summit bios: On Thu, 18 Oct 2012, Lukas Ocilka wrote:
* Mr. TAN, James
James Tan is the Engineering Manager for SUSE Studio Online and has been one of the core engineers since the start of the project 5 years ago. These days he balances his time with Ruby on Rails, DevOps (Puppet/Chef), and the cloud (Amazon EC2, SUSE Cloud/OpenStack). He is originally from Singapore and now lives in Nürnberg, Germany.
* Mr. BARAJAS, Miguel
Miguel (@GnuOwned) is SW IT Specialist at IBM oriented on Cloud Computing. He is an active Open Source Community member for at least 12 years, openSUSE Project Member, and podcaster (@openenchilada). Miguel has a long history of working with Linux, mostly SUSE. He is a virtualisation, critical systems, big Linux deployments and Cloud Computing expert.
* Mr. MÜLLER, Dirk
Dirk has worked for SUSE since 2005, and has been involved in openSUSE distribution development since the beginning. He started to work on the ARM port in 2011 as part of the SUSE hackweek. From his experience with the openSUSE Build Service and with packaging hundreds of packages in the openSUSE distribution, maintaining the rpmlint checks and other build checks in Factory, he knows quite a few tricks which helped the ARM porting team in finishing the project quickly.
* Mr. WAFAA, Andrew
Andrew Wafaa is a long time Open Source user/advocate/developer, and has spent his whole IT career working with Open Source. He was first introduced to the Geeko in 1999 with SuSE 6.2 and has been involved ever since, currently one of the openSUSE Board members voted in by the community. Andrew is now focused on pushing ARM in the Open Source world as one of their Principal Engineers.
* Prof. DOUPNIK, Joe
Joe Doupnik is visiting Professor at the Univ of Oxford, in addition to commercial activities. He has used Unix and Linux since the 70's, has written material included within Unix SYS V, and has done extensive open source work through the years (including MS-DOS Kermit). He does both development work as well as bringing the results to the community. -- Matt Barringer, Software Engineer SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, DE GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg)
