[opensuse-buildservice] openSUSE_Factory broken
This may be down to factory being updated, but in case it's not... Builds on openSUSE_Factory are currently failing on both i586 and x86_64 with the following error: initializing rpm db... rpm: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory mount: can't find / in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab /bin/bash: halt: command not found Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! If this needs to go in bugzilla, just let me know. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

It is.
Builds on openSUSE_Factory are currently failing on both i586 and x86_64 with the following error:
initializing rpm db... rpm: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Just add libbz2 to Preinstall section. Robert -- Robert Schiele Dipl.-Wirtsch.informatiker mailto:rschiele@gmail.com "Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur."
Just add libbz2 to Preinstall section.
This is a fairly hacky solution, will the build environment be fixed anytime soon? -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I expect to see this fixed tomorrow. I cannot fix it myself, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

No, this is the way the implementation of the build script does work. Robert -- Robert Schiele Dipl.-Wirtsch.informatiker mailto:rschiele@gmail.com "Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur."

fixed in build service, I hope. libbz2 is no getting preinstalled, but bzip2 package does not get install by default anymore. This might require to add explicit (Build)Requires to some packages. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

libbz2 is no getting preinstalled, but bzip2 package does not get install by default anymore. This might require to add explicit (Build)Requires to some packages.
Looks like bzip2 needs to be in BuildRequires if the source is in a bzball - given that the standard is to use them rather than gzballs might it not be worth having bzip2 in the default install? -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/download/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

However, I want to dicuss this first with mls. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
