[opensuse-buildservice] Factory builds
Hi, you may have noticed that i586 Factory builds were broken due to missing libXv packages. This is fixed now. On the other hand, I do activate some more rpmlint checks for Factory now. These become also effective, when you build _for_ Factory in your own project. These are the usual checks from rpmlint, but configured to stop building packages in important cases to get a minimum level of quality. We use them already for all packages build inside of Factory. Please report, if you run into trouble with that. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

That's nice, but *inside* Factory I get a mail about build failure, in BS I get no notification. So the packages fail silently. So, wouldn't it make sense to finish mail notification first and enable rpmlint (per default!) after that? It can also fail by any other reason. you need to check anyway. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Häh? What kind of answer is this? We simply need email notification also for "any other reason"! No one disagrees about that, Klaas is working on that. But it is neither no reason, not to enable rpmlint. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Well, it just does not build until somebody notices ... That's the reality in OBS.
