[opensuse-buildservice] Publishing slow for openSUSE:Factory ?
Hi all, I wonder if an issue with publishing exists for openSUSE:Factory? Nothing that has been build after May 06 2012 has been published for openSUSE:Factory. Or do I misunderstand the publishing process? There is something _heavily_ fishy with the local scheduler. Whenever the local scheduler checks the factory project, it reschedules the FTP tree product without killing the old job. So it takes like 3 hours to create the FTP tree and after that it says "job didn't build" and just discards the result. Then it starts again - and while it's building, the scheduler reschedules the job. I watched this yesterday the whole day ;( And what makes things worse IMO: the scheduler doesn't update the trigger reason. As a workaround I now stopped the local scheduler to get at last a new FTP tree out ;( For reference this is what the log file looks like: 07-09 17:15 - _product:openSUSE-ftp-ftp-i586_x86_64 (kiwi-product) !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-debuginfo.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-debugsource.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-devel.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick.src .... 07-09 18:16 - _product:openSUSE-ftp-ftp-i586_x86_64 (kiwi-product) !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-debuginfo.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-debugsource.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick-devel.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick.i586 !openSUSE:Factory/standard/i586/GraphicsMagick/GraphicsMagick.src And this repeats itself in the scheduler log 29 times - always voiding the previous job. This needs urgent fixing - I can't hardly run the local scheduler in one shot mode. We found warden killing the job after it creates too much load - the worker won't answer in a minute -> KILL. Why it doesn't answer we couldn't really find out as it's hard to reproduce, but for now the warden process is stopped.
