AlmaLinux 8 builds broken?
Hello. For a few days, it seems all packages at the Uyuni EL8 Client tools: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master:EL8-U... (they are based on AlmaLinux 8) Are broken with the following error: [ 14s] initializing rpm db... [ 14s] /usr/bin/rpmdb: error while loading shared libraries: libsqlite3.so. 0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory For example: https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/ systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master:EL8-Uyuni-Client-Tools/go1.15/EL_8/x86_64 https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/ systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master:EL8-Uyuni-Client-Tools/salt/EL_8/x86_64 https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/ systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master:EL8-Uyuni-Client-Tools/spacecmd/EL_8/x86_64 We tried to launch the rebuild several times, but it happens all the time. Is there any problem with AlmaLinux8 at OBS? Best regards.

With AlmaLinux 8.5, RPM now has read-only support for SQLite RPMDB. So, now "Preinstall: sqlite-libs" is needed. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth!

We are seeing this issue as well, especially today as CentOS8 (which we changed to when Alma8 messed up) is now on 8.5 (from RHEL 8.5) and has the same issues.
So with the Preinstall: sqlite-libs in place, it does fix both Alma8 and CentOS8 but it breaks our C7 rebuilds, as well as breaks our Ubuntu repos (on our internal networks, we haven’t published Ubuntu up to the OpenSUSE OBS servers as of yet) in the same way mentioned below.
Any new advice is much appreciated, currently it seems we don’t have a good way around this. Is it not possible to have perhaps projconf things limited to a repo in a project?

As a workaround, you can configure the preinstall only for the repository you want, for example: %if "%_repository" == "AlmaLinux_8" Preinstall: sqlite-libs %endif So it doesn't apply to C7 or Ubuntu. But I tried it at https://build.opensuse.org/projects/systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master/prjconf and https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Master:EL8-U... (here without the if, as this is only for Alma/Clones) And I am still getting " The repository setup is broken, build or publish not possible" @Adrian, any idea of what's going on? Something missing at the main codestreams for Alma/Rocky/CentOS/clones that are now 8.5 :-?

Seems this was magically fixed (or most likely something got stuck for a while, and got processed now :-)) I tried to remove `Preinstall: sqlite-libs` from the prjconfig, and the packages started to build again. Best regards.

This is resolved for us too, being able to use AlmaLinux, we still have the Preinstall: in place, good to know we can take that out we’ll try that later today.
Thank you magic fixer person 😃
