[opensuse-buildservice] Odd local build result
Running an osc build on my local system (Leap 42.1), and I end up with the following failure: --- snip --- [ 58s] calling /usr/lib/rpm/brp-suse.d/brp-15-strip-debug [ 58s] /usr/lib/rpm/brp-suse.d/brp-15-strip-debug: line 33: /dev/fd/62: No such file or directory [ 58s] /usr/lib/rpm/brp-suse.d/brp-15-strip-debug: line 47: /dev/fd/62: No such file or directory [ 58s] error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.mfbWMm (%install) [ 58s] [ 58s] [ 58s] RPM build errors: [ 58s] Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.mfbWMm (%install) --- snip --- Strangely, though, when I let it build on the build service, the build gets past this point (still fails, complaining that it can't find the changelog). The project in question is at https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/ home:hendersj/pan2-git - not entirely sure how to proceed in getting a local build to succeed (if I can diagnose locally, I can probably fix the changelog issue locally before having it build on the build system). Thanks for any tips/pointers. That looks like /proc isn't mounted in the chroot. Do you have the same issue also with other local builds? Thanks, Andreas - I just tried a build of gmime that I have built in the past (no longer in my repos, though), and it throws the same message. Confirmed - this weekend, I ran an osc chroot and can see that /proc isn't mounted. How do I fix that? Perhaps there's a bug in the build package in Leap. Can you update it from openSUSE:Tools? Just tried that version - got the same error. But I think I figured out what the issue was - I had upgraded from 13.2 to Leap 42.1, and it looks like the build-root directory carried over from 13.2. I wiped it and re-ran my build, and now it's not failing at that point, but rather at the same point I get with a non-local build.
