[opensuse-buildservice] "(E) Attention, copyright is not mentioned in spec files as source or patch."
Hi, I'm trying to submit a package to openSUSE factory, but get the error seen in the subject of this message (from factory-auto). Honestly, I don't even know what the error is supposed to mean. Running osc service localrun source_validator as mentioned in the details of the error gives me "too few arguments". Adding the specfile as last argument gives me "too many arguments". The manpage doesn't contain usage information for that particular operation either. I tried looking at the build service specfile guidelines, but couldn't discern any info that seemed related. The specfile in question already contains a copyright comment. Pointers welcome. -- Florian Höch -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org

Please give us a pointer to your spec file - best to the location in the build service to see what's wrong, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org

Hi You have a file called 'copyright' in your list of files, but it's not mentioned in your spec file eg; SourceX: copyright -- Cheers Malcolm °¿° (Linux Counter #276890) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) Kernel 3.0.13-0.27-default up 1 day 21:13, 2 users, load average: 0.02, 0.05, 0.05 CPU Intel i5 CPU M520@2.40GHz | Intel Arrandale GPU -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
I thought the 'copyright' file is only used for Debian/Ubuntu builds? (the current package builds under all recent distros supported by buildservice) Am 06.04.2012 17:08, schrieb Malcolm:
