We use Kiwi to build images, you can find the documentation here [1] there is an example at [2] Finally [3] is all the legal / trademark things you need to consider for example if you are using software from outside the openSUSE repos in your distribution you need to remove all the openSUSE branding / logos etc. Depending on your end goal it might be easier to just contribute the missing things to openSUSE. 1. https://osinside.github.io/kiwi/ 2. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory:Live/livecd-tumblew... 3. https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Trademark_guidelines#Distributing_openSUSE_... -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

Same here. I had first thought I would use OBS so I could build for other distros than I was running, For example, I run Tumbleweed, but I wanted to make an OEM image based on Leap 15.3. KIWI solves that by providing an image for various target platforms where it does the build. Check the KIWI docs for buildbox. It's all rather transparent to the user. Works great. No need to involve OBS. -- Roger Oberholtzer
