[opensuse-buildservice] error: Package already exists: %package debuginfo
Today, I started getting these error on CentOS_5, i586 and x86_64 sipxcalllib' --eval %suse_insert_debug_package /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/sipxcalllib.spec error: Package already exists: %package debuginfo I can't recall anything I did that might trigger this issue. I tried turning debug expert flag on and off, wiping binaries and still the issue persists. Fedora 11/12 build fine. The specfile does not have a "%package debuginfo" line in it already like the error suggests. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Do you have a %debug_package line in your spec? Take it out. This is controlled by build service flags. Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for you response I do not have that line, this is the entire spec file http://pastie.org/938982.txt Can also see file here https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?file=sipxcalllib.spec&package=sipxcalllib&project=home%3Asipfoundry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

For one of my packages I too had this problem but for Mandriva instead. In the end I had to explicitly disable debug builds with the build service flags for those distros to make the error go away. I don't know what causes it but I too would like a fix. It's because those distros likely add debuginfo at the rpm level. In SUSE, debuginfo is enabled by explicitly passing a define to build/rpm as you can see from the log. (Though in that case, said option should not be passed to build in the first place.) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

sipxcalllib' --eval %suse_insert_debug_package /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/sipxcalllib.spec error: Package already exists: %package debuginfo
I used osc command to edit the package meta osc meta pkg home:sipfoundry sipxcalllib -e I found instances of debug flags on that the sue build service web ui didn't reflect. After removing all debug flags, now everything builds. I don't know why I get debug rpms but i wanted them anyway, so all is good.
