Aircrack is illegal in Germany, isn't it? Anywhere else? Am I mistaken or any security auditing tool such as the above is illegal there? Manuel. -- Manuel Arostegui Ramirez. OK I will delete my aircrack-ng subproject. I don't see Kismet in the blacklist, so I'll leave that up. Sorry I wasn't aware that there was even a blacklist, and in America I believe the law states it is illegal to actually use a device to break into someone's system, not just possess the device. Now that I think about it I know I have read that Germany has passed laws that are way more strict though. Sorry guys... Since spring we have a new law here in Germany which adds (in the definition of the law) ping to the blacklist too ;)

well, this was clarified later, so ping is unlikely affected. I maintain Kismet for SUSE. Version 2007-10-R1 is already in Factory but currently does not build due to an error in ImageMagick package. If you would like to maintain Kismet in OBS together with me, drop me a note and I will arrange it.
Pavol, I mainly built it just because in the quick search I did I didn't see Kismet for SLED 10 SP1, which is what I'm running. If you'd like my help maintaining the package I would be open to that though. IMO it's time I finally give back more to open source. I appreciate the offer. What was the problem with ImageMagik? It looks like the PACKAGE_NAME issue with ImageMagik on openSUSE Factory still hasn't been fixed... I seem to remember someone on this list mentioning that a newer patched version of ImageMagik had been uploaded. Anyone know the status?
I trigged a rebuild of Pavol's kismet package and got the same error -

so it looks like it hasn't been addressed yet.
