[opensuse-buildservice] Bug in the OBS Web UI
There seems to be a Mozilla Seamonkey related issue in the OBS Web UI for some time: Opening a web page showing a file content, the text area containing the file content is set to display:none, eg. for: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?expand=1&file=apache2-icons-oxygen.changes&package=apache2-icons-oxygen&project=Apache Without javascript, the file content is displayed in a 3 line text-area. Tested with Debian stable (=iceape) as well as 2.14. Some time ago, viewing file content worked with these browsers. The same is for me for a long time. (Mozilla Firefox 17). Please, https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=794700 Martin Koegler wrote:

It gets even better. The raw HTML code is: <textarea class="editor" cols="0" id="editor_0" rows="0" style="display: inline-block"> Out of fear that rows=0 cols=0 might not be enough, some Javascript will set the textbox to display:none (that is what Firebug will show you when inspecting the page live). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
At least, Firebug thinks so. Martin Koegler wrote:

Well, whatever Firebug thinks, it certainly is not shown by the main window that is independent of Firebug. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org

The textarea is not supposed to be seen, the highlighted text is supposed to show (as it does here). Do the demos from http://codemirror.net/demo/ work for you? OK, I can reproduce the bug. But unfortunately the codemirror-rails gem has been updated to 3.0 and 3.0 had big problems in my testing. So we're stuck with 2.36 for now. Seems to be working on Iceape / Debian stable again. Regards, Martin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
For me works: 2.35, 2.36, 2.37. Didn't check others. Stephan Kulow wrote:

Yeah, I did an experimental update to 2.37 and the bug is still there. So it's something fun to debug. First thing to check is if it works in development environment (without assets compilation), but I'm not setup to do that right now. I updated git to 3.0 now and it seems to work better with FF, but we can't be certain until we see it in deployment - so if someone wants to fix the appliance... Demos work on Debian Stable Iceape (=Seamonkey). Regards, Martin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
